This pencil tree skirt, 30-inches in diameter, is perfect for those tight spots and for slim trees and tabletop trees.

This timeless, tailored tree skirt is crafted in a gorgeous new heavy cream decorator fabric. The color is neutral, but the pronounced weave and drape keep it from being flat and boring.

With a nod to , I’ve finished the large sweeping hem and a curved overlay with a 3/4-inch white ribbed band. And then adorned it with large covered buttons in the colors of your choosing.

The pencil skirt has 5 buttons that hold the overlay in place. The buttons' metal shanks go through both layers and are held tight by stainless steel cotter pins and plastic washers (see last picture), making them more secure for curious pets and toddlers (but still please keep an eye on them).

UPDATE: Three pencils tree skirts available: one with plaid band, one with green velvet band and one with white tone-on-tone banding. Just specify your choice of buttons and it will be on its way to you.

The overlay is decorative. The skirt is finished with a hemmed opening down the back.

STYLING TIP: As with many tree skirts made of heavy drapey fabric, if your tree stand legs are prominently angled, try filling the area between the stand legs with batting or wadded up plastic grocery bags to soften the sharp angles.
